And now for my first search and rescue mission in the Lake District ........

|
Excuse me, but is this supposed to be fun? I think I'll get out of the way! (25-48 mph winds shattering tent poles, rain for a week, ground saturated, becks raging torrents, lake level so high it's covering the jetty preventing the steamers from stopping at Howtown. Says Rosie, the old lady at the farm: 'The highest I can ever remember seeing it'. Yep ..... this is fun!) |

Moving house. (I'm safe and dry in the car!)

And the trouble with camping in this weather is .........

.......... every time you go out for a pee you come back to suffer this indignity!
![]() |
When the going gets tough, the tough ........ do the only sensible thing and get into their sleeping bag!

Oops! Where's the house gone!

Claire says you're called Alexander. So, you're the sort of creature that lives in the Lake District, are you!

Going home .........

Are we nearly there?

We must be nearly there by now. I've been sitting here for hours. Are you sure we aren't nearly there?
