Sat 19th onwards  ~ to the Lake District for walks on the Uldale and Caldbeck Fells

Sunday 20th April: from Peter House Farm to Whitewater Dash waterfall, then ascending Bakestall by the ridge.

(Bakestall is an outlying top of Skiddaw on its north-west side)

Monday 21st April:  first a game of catch in the kitchen ........

 

          

 

 

 

....... then a visit to Cockermouth. First to Sainsbury's, then a short walk up Watch Hill, just east of the town, and on to Setmurthy Common.

Tuesday 22nd April:  on the map: the big red loop from Longlands over Knott, Great and Little Sca Fells,

taking in Lowthwaite Fell and Longland Fell in the descent.

The village of Bothel, where we stayed, is two miles beyond Binsey summit.

 

Thursday 23rd April: High Pike in the Caldbeck Fells

Friday 25th April: Walna Crag and Bleaberry Fell

 

 

168  ~  bad weather on the way, time for my jacket - here he's doing up the tail strap

Saturday 26th April: Becky joins us. Bad weather, but we do Dodd anyway

 

 

D28  ~  Saturday, and Aunty Becky joins us from London for the day. Here we're on Dodd summit overlooking Derwent Water
